Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This position will provide comprehensive respiratory therapy care to a diverse patient population, including pediatrics and adults, in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital setting and the ability to float between different units, including NICU, PICU, and critical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and therapeutic services to patients with respiratory disorders.
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement appropriate therapy interventions.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust treatments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with medical staff and contribute to multidisciplinary rounds.
• Utilize advanced respiratory equipment including ventilators and non-invasive ventilation devices.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations in practice.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3+ years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• NRP certification required for NICU.
• State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred.
