Registered Nurse - Ortho-Neuro Surgical Unit

This is a 13-week contract position. The shift includes 12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Ortho-Neuro unit. This position requires strong clinical skills, specifically in orthopedic care and management of PCA pumps. Nurses will practice within an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic and neuro patients.
• Administer medication and manage PCA pumps as required.
• Ensure proper care coordination among interdisciplinary team members.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, maintaining accurate records.
• Assist with elective surgeries and manage post-operative care.
• Participate in maintaining a safe and clean patient environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have experience with orthopedic patients and PCA pumps.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• A valid nursing license is required for submission.
