Must be able to start on a Tuesday or Thursday for full shift orientation. Part Time Evenings, Every Other Weekend (EOW).

Job Description

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) functions under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, providing direct and indirect care for residents. The role involves meeting the physical and emotional needs of adult and geriatric patients, ensuring their well-being and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as outlined in their care plans, including hygiene, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment by answering call lights promptly, managing safety equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
• Support residents' nutritional needs by delivering meals, preparing trays, and assisting with feeding when necessary.
• Implement rehabilitative care as directed, focusing on mobility, range of motion exercises, and assisting with transfers.
• Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to supervising nurses promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required (AHA or RQI certs only).
• One (1) year of previous Long-Term Care (LTC) experience is required.
• Must be licensed as a Nursing Assistant for a minimum of one year.
