Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Evening Shifts

Schedule

Full-time evenings (7.5 hours/day x 5 days/week) with every other weekend and holidays required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist residents with their daily living needs, promoting a safe and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a long-term care setting and hold a valid New York State Nursing Assistant Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living needs including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Maintain resident safety and respond to call lights promptly.
• Support residents during meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Facilitate mobility and rehabilitation needs.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor residents' health conditions.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
• Provide emotional support through companionship and interaction.
• Ensure confidentiality and respect residents' rights at all times.
• Document resident care and report any concerns to nursing staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting.
• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS certification (through AHA or RQI) are required.
