Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Part Time Nights

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Part Time Nights, with availability for full-shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday. Requires commitment to work 2 shifts one week and 3 shifts the following week, including every other weekend.

Job Description

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) performs direct and indirect resident care within the scope of practice as defined by certification. The CNA must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) needs are met as outlined in the plan of care.
• Maintain residents' environment and safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Meet residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meal delivery, preparation, and feeding as necessary.
• Address residents' rehabilitative needs, including range of motion exercises and assistance with ambulation.
• Report resident rights, refusals, and concerns to Charge Nurse promptly, as well as changes in their physical and emotional status.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/RQI)
• Minimum of one (1) year of prior experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) setting
