Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN)

Schedule or Shift

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) will provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in an acute care hospital environment. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients’ telemetry and managing their medication and treatments. The position requires tele competency, and previous charge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
• Manage patient care in accordance with the established care plan.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing role.
• Current South Carolina RN License or Compact License required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH stroke scale certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Tele competency required; previous charge experience and community hospital experience preferred.
