Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour shifts on days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM). Weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in a community hospital setting. The RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient load of 5-6 patients per RN.
• Interpret telemetry readings and manage cardiac drips.
• Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry environment.
• Current South Carolina RN license or Compact license in hand is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
• Tele competency required; previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience in a community hospital is preferred.
