Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Job Description

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) will perform direct and indirect designated resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Responsibilities include providing care appropriate to the age of the patients served, including adult and geriatric groups. The ideal candidate must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles and possess the ability to assess and interpret patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Meet residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) needs as outlined in the plan of care.
• Maintain residents' environment and safety, responding promptly to call lights and alarms.
• Ensure residents' nutritional needs are met according to the plan of care.
• Address residents' rehabilitative needs, including range of motion and transfers.
• Report any changes in residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS Certification (AHA/RQI)
• One (1) year of previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) as a CNA

Schedule

This position requires full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week, including day and night shifts as needed, with weekends and holidays required.
