Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Nights - 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3 shifts per week)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds accountability for delivering high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Room by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The role demands a demonstration of critical thinking skills and scientific judgment, alongside proactive leadership in planning for the safe delivery of care within the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency patients.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to ensure effective patient outcomes.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is required.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred (additional compensation available).
• MUST be willing to float to other departments as needed.
