Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Emergency Department patients.
• Utilize the Nursing Process effectively to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continued education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the staff.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Schedule

This position requires a shift from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, on a 3x12 schedule.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role.
• Current Arizona RN License.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is required.
