Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Schedule

Full-time day and/or night shifts available. Must be able to attend first day orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday.

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality resident care under the guidance of licensed nursing personnel. This position requires the individual to effectively perform both direct and indirect designated resident care, ensuring adherence to established protocols and policies.

Responsibilities

• Meet resident's Activities of Daily Living (ADL) needs as specified in their care plan.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the resident environment in accordance with care protocols.
• Support nutritional needs of residents while respecting preferences and choices.
• Assist with rehabilitative needs including ambulation, transfers, and body alignment.
• Report resident rights, refusals, and any changes in physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse promptly.
• Ensure proper documentation is completed per established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of previous long-term care (LTC) experience.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
