Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10 hours, from 06:00 to 16:30, with alternating days off. Includes on-call requirements of 1-2 days per week with a 30-minute response time, and working every third or fourth weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse with at least 2 years of open heart experience and scrub capabilities. The ideal candidate will provide skilled nursing care within a dynamic surgical environment, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions preoperatively and postoperatively.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience and Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room nursing.
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
• Candidate must have NBSTSA certification for surgical tech roles.
