LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process in alignment with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policies. The Registered Nurse applies critical thinking and scientific judgment to ensure the safe delivery of patient care, maintains clinical competencies through ongoing education, and delegates priorities based on staff capabilities. Leadership in directing and supervising personnel delivering patient care is an essential part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established procedures and best practices.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care decisions.
• Delegate patient care tasks based on staff education and experience.
• Supervise and guide assigned personnel in delivering patient care effectively.
• Engage in continuing education to maintain clinical competencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two to five years of nursing experience required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must be attached to resume, from the American Heart Association).
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy patients is necessary.
• Current Missouri RN license or multi-state RN license (must be attached to resume).

Schedule

This position operates on a schedule of 07:00 to 19:30.
