ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Night Shift) in Midland, Michigan.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Night shifts, 12 hours from 6:42 PM to 7:12 AM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. This includes three weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period (Friday and Saturday).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit will perform a variety of integrated pre and post-operative critical care functions, using the nursing process while applying a broad nursing knowledge in a caring manner. This role requires assessment of patients for their physical and emotional needs, as well as family support systems. The nurse will organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care, collaborate with healthcare team members, and evaluate patient progress according to their care plan.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for physical, emotional, psych/social, and family support needs.
• Organize and coordinate patient care to address real and/or perceived needs.
• Evaluate patient progress by correlating information with nursing knowledge to monitor care goals.
• Consult and collaborate with healthcare team members to implement total patient care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Michigan RN License required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Epic EMR experience is preferred.
