ARMStaffing is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician in Rochester, New York.

Assignment Duration

This is a minimum 24-hour contract position with the option to extend up to 10 days.

Schedule/Shift

Assigned shifts are available: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, and 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Candidates must be flexible to assigned shifts.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment throughout the surgery center, adhering to infection control and safety practices during all phases of the process.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments for use in surgical procedures.
• Ensure proper distribution of sterilized equipment to relevant departments.
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards and safety practices.

Required Experience

• Active Technician License (any current Tech License accepted in the state of New York).
• Minimum of two years of experience in sterile processing.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
