Night Shift: 18:00-06:30, with varied days and every other weekend expected.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will promote and restore patients’ health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning in the patient care area while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. The role involves managing nursing staff, providing emotional support to patients and families, and ensuring adherence to nursing standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee the nursing care of three medical/surgical/telemetry units and one ICU unit.
• Identify patient service requirements and build rapport with patients and families.
• Ensure adherence to infection control policies, safety procedures, and medication regulations.
• Maintain documentation of patient care services and audit records regularly.
• Monitor budget expenditures and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients, families, and staff.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital house supervisor experience.
• ICU experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current California RN license.
• ACLS & BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
