ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift) in Hagerstown, Maryland.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend shifts may be scheduled up to six times during the 6-week scheduling period.

Job Description

Join a Level 2 Trauma Center with a very busy Emergency Department. The facility hosts a 54-bed ER and sees an average of 220 patients per day, highlighting the fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will care for high acuity patients and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing effective assessment and intervention strategies.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP, blood products, and care for ventilated patients.
• Perform procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Support patients experiencing CVA and other emergencies including gunshot wounds.
• Document patient care using the EPIC charting system.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• At least 1 year of travel experience in the ED.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required.
• NIHSS certification acceptable; pending status is acceptable for submission.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the relevant state.
