Schedule/Shift

Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and every other holiday.

Job Description

The Med Surg RN will provide care in a 30-bed unit, focusing on patient management with a patient ratio of 1:6. Responsibilities include EKG monitoring, IV insertion, medication administration, Foley catheter insertion, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI). The RN will utilize Cerner as the electronic medical record system and will conduct point-of-care testing, such as blood glucose monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EKG and vital signs of patients.
• Perform IV insertions and medication administration.
• Conduct assessments and document patient care.
• Assist with RSI procedures and conduct point-of-care testing.
• Insert Foley catheters as required.

Required Experience

1-2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical setting is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
