Day shift, 3x12 hours, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Job Description

The Level IV NICU at CCHMC provides comprehensive care for neonates with high acuity surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological conditions. The unit manages a high volume of intubated and acute infants, including those with conditions such as Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy patients is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential care for neonates in the NICU, focusing on high acuity conditions.
• Monitor and manage ventilator and trach patients, ensuring their stability and comfort.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams and Respiratory Services.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic or similar charting system.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of Level IV NICU experience is required.
• Previous experience handling high acuity surgical and respiratory conditions is essential.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Ohio or Compact RN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are mandatory.
