Schedule/Shift

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekend and holiday shifts required as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit will provide critical care to patients with a range of neurological conditions including strokes, dialysis, and head bleeds. This position involves working closely with an interdisciplinary team and utilizing a variety of medical equipment including vents and high-flow nasal cannulas. The RN must be prepared to titrate drips such as Levophed, insulin, and phenylephrine as required. Experience in a critical care setting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Titrate medications and manage complex patient therapies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess patient needs and implement care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatments.
• Document care provided in the electronic health record (EPIC).

Required Experience

Must have previous experience in an Intensive Care Unit or critical care setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required for NCCU, MICU, and SICU.
