ICU Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, weekdays, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and clinical skills relevant to intensive care nursing. They will be responsible for managing critically ill patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess critically ill patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage patient ventilators and cardiac drips.
• Implement protocols for conscious sedation and emergency medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in acute care, preferably in ICU.
• Current RN license in West Virginia or compact state.
• Certifications required: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with telemetry, ventilators, and conscious sedation.
