Schedule/Shift

3 × 12 hour shifts per week, from 07:00 to 19:30, Monday through Saturday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care to ICU boarders in the PACU unit, primarily consisting of trauma overflow patients. Although previous trauma training is not required, the RN will be expected to assess, implement, and evaluate the care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician. The RN will utilize the nursing process, collaborating with patients and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals, to individualize patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide holistic care.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care.
• Float to the Emergency Department for ICU holds or to other ICU/Stepdown units as needed based on census.

Required Experience

One year of experience in the area of clinical specialty is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• PA Registered Nurse License is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
