Schedule/Shift

This position requires a 4x10 schedule, working days from 0700 to 1730, with on-call responsibilities of 6-8 days per month, including 4-5 weekdays and 1 weekend.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Technician will be working in a unit comprising 3 cath lab procedure rooms and 1 dedicated EP lab, serving an adult and geriatric patient population. The technician will be involved in a variety of procedures including cardiac catheterizations, structural heart interventions (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman), peripheral vascular angiography and intervention, as well as electrophysiology (EP) ablations and device implants. The unit operates with an emphasis on utilizing the EPIC documentation system.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Perform structural heart procedures and peripheral vascular interventions.
• Participate in electrophysiology lab activities including EP ablations and device implants.
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to safety protocols.
• Utilize fluoroscopy techniques effectively in procedures.
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC system.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience with a focus on structural heart and electrophysiology.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• RCIS certification required.
• Active California license required at submission.
