ARMStaffing is looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room (Night Shift) in Portland, Maine.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3-12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Weekend rotation is required, 1:4 weekends with one overnight call for trauma.

Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technologist will work in a diverse operating room environment and be responsible for preparing and maintaining the sterile field, assisting surgeons, and providing essential support in various surgical specialties including Neuro (craniotomy), Robotics, General (including thoracic), GU/GYN, Pediatrics, Trauma, and open Vascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical instruments and ensure all equipment is functioning properly before surgeries.
• Assist with draping and positioning of patients for various surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment by following established protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, including surgeons and nurses.
• Participate in trauma calls as scheduled and assist in the provision of care during emergencies.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of trauma experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Experience scrubbing in multiple surgical specialties is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
