This position requires a Night Shift schedule, from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide competent nursing care to patients within the Med/Surg unit, demonstrating thorough assessment skills across the lifespan from pediatric to geriatric populations. The nurse will work collaboratively within a team to prioritize patient needs and deliver quality care in a safe environment, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic and comprehensive patient assessments.
• Provide direct patient care and support the care delivery team.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation, including education and progress toward outcomes.
• Demonstrate professionalism and identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
• Ensure patient and family satisfaction through positive interactions and responsiveness.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals and use proper safety techniques during patient transfers.
• Individualize care based on surgical procedures and types of anesthesia utilized.
• Assess patient understanding of pre-operative and post-operative instructions.
• Evaluate pre-admission testing orders and ensure their appropriateness.

Required Experience

• 1 year of nursing experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification is required.
• Current RN License required.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing is necessary.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
