Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical-Telemetry unit will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical care. This role involves close monitoring, assessment, and documentation of patient conditions while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous assessment of patients in the telemetry unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, notifying physicians of significant changes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions and care plans.

Required Experience

Minimum of 4 years of telemetry nursing experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New Jersey RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
