Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for providing care to both adult and pediatric patients. This role involves the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, administering continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias effectively.
• Administer blood products and manage arterial and central lines.
• Perform phlebotomy and start IVs as needed.
• Administer continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors.
• Provide procedural sedation and monitoring.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a charge role.
• Experience with patient ratios in emergency settings.
• Familiarity with the Epic charting system is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active New Jersey state nursing license.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required at the time of submission.
