Schedule/Shift

Schedule: 3 shifts a week, including 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Shifts from 3:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Floating policy includes moving to other areas as needed if volumes are low in the Emergency Room.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Department at Fairview Park Hospital encompasses providing nursing care to patients with a focus on compassion and teamwork. The unit operates with a low acuity strategy and includes access to Techs and a Unit Secretary, facilitating patient care and documentation through the Meditech system.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Perform procedures within RN scope, including EKGs, IVs, and NG tube placements.
• Monitor patients using equipment such as Life Paks, fluid warmers, and rapid infusers.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience

1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a relevant clinical setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Required: BLS, ACLS.
• Preferred: PALS, ENPC, TNCC.
