Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice and guiding patient/family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel, while ensuring standards of care in the Telemetry Unit are met. The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians about changes in patient clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic study results, and must be prepared to respond quickly to shifts in patient status.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as per protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and respond to any changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and care plans.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and support staff.

Required Experience

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross).
• Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN License in the state of California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
