3x12 shifts, Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM. Every other weekend and holidays as needed. No call required.
Job Description
The Fourth Floor Progressive Care Department is an all-private, 45-bed unit at Wesley Long Hospital, with rooms monitored by the Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department. This department provides comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with various conditions, including sepsis, heart failure, and acute renal failure. Centralized cardiac surveillance is offered, and nursing staff is supported by a team of ancillary professionals.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage patients in a progressive care setting.
- Administer medications and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips.
- Provide non-invasive airway management and interpret EKG results.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient care and progress in the EMR system (EPIC).
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and progressive care units is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse license required at the time of application.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
