ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Observation Unit (Day Shift) in Randallstown, Maryland.

Schedule/Shift

3x12 hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a requirement to work every other weekend.

Job Description

This position is within an Emergency Department Observation Unit that cares for adult and geriatric patients. The unit has an expected patient ratio of 1:5. The role requires strong cardiac telemetry and observation-level nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry for patients.
• Provide observation-level care and support for adult and geriatric patients.
• Administer blood products and manage IVs, including central lines, peripheral lines, and PICC lines.
• Perform phlebotomy and manage Heparin protocols.
• Experience in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, as well as utilizing rapid response and code team interventions.
• Manage pre/post hemodialysis treatments in patients with renal failure.
• Provide oxygen administration, including nasal cannula and oxygen tank management.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and administer wound care, including wound vac management.

Required Experience

• 7 years of Registered Nurse experience required.
• Strong cardiac telemetry experience is essential.
• Experience in ER holding and PCU/Stepdown is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification is also required.
• A valid Maryland or compact RN license is required upon submission.
