ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift) in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will join a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Department providing care for patients from neonates to geriatrics. The unit has 66 beds with an average daily census of about 200 patients. The RN will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and may be required to float between the ER and the 10-bed observation unit as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in the Emergency Department.
• Manage up to a 1:4 patient ratio, which may increase to 1:5 or 1:6 with lower acuity cases.
• Perform emergency procedures and administer medications as per protocols.
• Utilize Epic for documentation and patient management.
• Participate in patient education and advocacy.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously, adapting care plans as necessary.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Experience with high-volume, non-trauma ER scenarios.
• Strong clinical skills in handling various patient diagnoses and emergency situations.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required.
