ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Day and Night Shift) in Spokane, Washington.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The position requires working 12-hour shifts, either days from 07:00 to 19:00 or nights from 19:00 to 07:00. Weekend coverage is required, typically every other weekend, and the clinician must commit to working three of the five holidays during the contract period.

Job Description

This role is in a high-acuity Emergency Department that serves as a regional referral center for trauma, cardiac, and stroke care. The unit sees an average of 175 visits per day and typically handles at least 50 ambulance presentations daily. The clinician will be expected to work in the ED holding area and manage a patient ratio of 1 RN to 4 patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Assist with continuous IV sedation and ICP monitoring.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage patient care accordingly.
• Support STEMI care to the cath lab and stroke care protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic, is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active and valid RN license in hands at the time of submission (compact license accepted).
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC are required.
