Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in a large emergency department serving varying acuity levels, managing both adult and pediatric patients. The role requires the ability to assess, plan, and implement nursing care for critically ill patients, including those in need of urgent trauma, stroke, and STEMI interventions.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients with critical conditions, including but not limited to trauma, strokes, and severe behavioral health issues.
• Administer medications, conduct assessments, and provide treatment as per established protocols.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.
• Participate in emergency procedures and protocol adherence, ensuring patient safety and care standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency department setting.
• Must possess current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC.
• Epic charting experience is mandatory.
• Valid RN license in hand at submission.
