Schedule/Shift

Schedule consists of 3 shifts, each lasting 12 hours, with weekend requirements and the possibility of floating within scope to meet facility needs.

Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at a Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital. The role involves providing care for a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit is staffed with two nurses during the day and night shifts, without support from techs or CNAs. Nurses may volunteer for on-call night shift hours when needed. Documentation is completed using Epic.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for various patient populations in the Emergency Room.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs and conditions.
• Perform phlebotomy and manage IVs, including procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room or similar setting.
• Charge experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required.
• A valid compact RN license must be in hand at the time of submission.
