ARMStaffing is looking for a Surgical Tech, Cardiovascular Operating Room (Day Shift) in Charleston, West Virginia.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3x12 Days, 7a-7p, weekdays, on-call (occasional weeknight call 7p-7a; 1 weekend per month or in a 5-week schedule, may appear as 2 weekends - call only Saturday and until 11pm on Sunday).

Job Description

The Surgical Tech will work in a busy Cardiovascular Operating Room with 14 rooms and an average daily census of 25 patients. Candidates must be proficient in scrubbing and circulating cases, as well as having experience with equipment documentation. Primary responsibility will involve assisting in surgical procedures, especially in cardiovascular cases, while adhering to strict protocols and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate a variety of cardiovascular procedures, including but not limited to Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, and Coronary Artery Bypass Graft.
• Document equipment usage and assist with the preparation of the surgical suite.
• Maintain a sterile environment and provide support to surgical teams before, during, and after operations.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required by the schedule.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room, specifically in cardiovascular surgery.

Certifications/Licensure

• National certification from the NBSTA is required.
• BLS certification is required.
