Night Shift, 4x12 hours, from 18:00 to 06:00.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide care for a high-risk obstetric population, including circulating during cesarean sections. The unit serves a culturally diverse patient base, with an average daily census of 15-20, and accommodates 11 rooms with a maximum of 15 beds. As part of this role, you will utilize the Epic charting system.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform labor assessments and facilitate deliveries.
- Assist in high-risk antepartum care and postpartum education.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and recognize abnormal patterns.
- Provide breastfeeding support and newborn care guidance.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current CA RN License required (pending licenses not accepted).
- ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and BLS certifications are required.
