ARMStaffing is looking for a Certified Surgical Technician, CVOR (Day Shift) in Akron, Ohio.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Day shift: 7 am - 5:30 pm with on-call requirements including 1-2 call shifts on weekdays and weekend call every 6 weeks.

Job Description

As a Certified Surgical Technician in the CVOR, you will work closely with surgical teams to provide quality care for patients undergoing open heart and vascular procedures, including wired vascular cases. Your expertise will assist in ensuring optimal outcomes in high-stakes surgical environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and available.
• Assist the surgical team in the proper handling of instruments and providing support during procedures.
• Monitor patient safety and assist with positioning and draping.
• Communicate effectively with team members before, during, and after surgery.
• Participate in the maintenance of a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience, with CVOR experience preferred.
• Experience with scrub for open heart and vascular cases.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Must have a permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at the time of submission.
