Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing services and employs specialized knowledge and judgment to assess data and provide appropriate care tailored to the physical and developmental needs of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and establish nursing diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal care.
- Document patient information accurately and timely.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in General OR.
- Experience in GYN, bariatrics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and plastics.
- Previous travel experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license in the state of Maryland (verification must be less than 30 days old).
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Flu vaccination required - declines not approved.
- COVID vaccination required - state-recorded, declines not approved.
