Schedule: 3x12s, Rotating holidays & weekends. Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:00.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical unit 63G in Frederick, Maryland, is an adult/geriatric unit that focuses on providing care to patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Nurses will manage complex patients who have multiple comorbidities and will be responsible for delivering both pre-and post-operative care. The unit supports a diverse patient population requiring strong assessment skills and the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical-Surgical setting.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and administer medications as necessary.
• Assist with pre- and post-operative patient care and management.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.
• Document all patient care activities in MEDITECH accurately and timely.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience.
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythms.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Meditrech experience is required.
