Day Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Job Description

Mission Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This position focuses on caring for patients in an inpatient overflow unit, handling medical surgical and/or step-down patients. The ideal candidate will interact with a diverse patient population and participate in telemetry monitoring, ensuring patients are monitored closely with telemetry equipment. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used on this unit is Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 20 beds, with a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6 depending on the level of care required.
• Manage short-stay patients with a target length of stay of 24 hours.
• Participate in the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ensure proper telemetry monitoring and functionality of medical equipment.
• Collaborate with fellow staff members to enhance patient outcomes and team efficiency.

Required Experience

• Telemetry competency.
• Progressive Care experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
