ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (Night Shift) in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The competent Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. Responsibilities range from routine tasks to complex care, with a focus on developing and managing long-range goals and plans. The role includes assessing and addressing the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, along with providing necessary education to them.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate responsibilities to other care providers to help manage clinical situations.

Required Experience

1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from AHA required.
• Current Intermediate AWHONN certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM, AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Advanced FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
• Current STABLE certification required (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants).
