ARMStaffing is looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, PET/CT (Day Shift) in Rochester, New York.

Schedule/Shift

Monday to Friday, with varying shifts of either 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. No weekends, no call, and no holidays.

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will review patient history and physician's orders while educating patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation. This position requires performing imaging procedures, ensuring proper techniques related to the patient's age and ability to cooperate in order to achieve high-quality images. The technologist will analyze imaging results, identify quality issues, and take appropriate actions to resolve them.

This role involves performing nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with relevant standards and departmental policies. Continuous monitoring of patient conditions is essential, along with reporting any changes in patient status. Additionally, responsibilities include the preparation, administration, storage, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals, maintaining an appropriate inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients about procedures and imaging equipment.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and resolve quality issues with imaging.
• Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes.
• Maintain inventory of supplies in nuclear medicine rooms.

Required Experience

• CT certified with PET/CT experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Certifications/Licensure

• ARRT CT Certification.
• Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the NMTCB or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the ARRT.
• New York State License.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
