This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Shifts are 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with guaranteed hours of 48 per week and a weekend requirement of 1:4 weekends.
On-call requirements include one overnight shift from 11 PM to 7 AM for Trauma call, scheduled per specialty team rules if applicable.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Travel Nurse to join our team specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures at our Level One Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in surgical nursing, exceptional patient care, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. The RN will be competent in various procedures including Robotics (Da Vinci Xi), PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleises, Hysteroscopies, and Ureteroscopies. The RN must be comfortable with a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing Gynecology and Genitourinary surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients during pre-operative and post-operative phases.
- Assist in surgical procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR), specifically Epic.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Level 1 trauma center is required.
- Proven experience in operating room procedures, specifically in Gynecology and Genitourinary specialties.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license.
- CNOR preferred.
