This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The position offers two shift options: 4 - 10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, or 5 - 8 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Additionally, 10-15 on-call shifts per month are required for STEMI/Stroke coverage.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab will provide critical patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on cardiovascular procedures and interventions. The nurse will be involved in patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of appropriate interventions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Monitor patient status during and after procedures, providing immediate care as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience

• Current RN licensure and experience in a Cath Lab or similar acute care setting.
• Proficient in NIHSS and basic pharmacology.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid RN license via Nursys.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
