Schedule/Shift
Nights, either 3x12 or 4x12 shifts available. Weekend work is required unless otherwise specified in the schedule.
Job Description
This position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse responsible for providing care to adult women of childbearing age. The unit features 7 labor beds, 3 triage rooms, 2 PACU, and 16 mother-baby beds. Candidates must be proficient in Epic software.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and assist with high-risk deliveries.
- Provide support for breastfeeding and lactation.
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and assist with cesarean sections.
- Monitor and assess fetal heart tones and labor progression.
- Conduct postpartum assessments and provide discharge teaching to parents.
Required Experience
Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted if they meet the experience requirement.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required.
- AWHONN Intermediate preferred.
