Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Night shifts available: Either 3X12 or 4X12 shifts.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to adult women of childbearing age, ensuring a safe and supportive environment during labor and delivery. The unit is equipped with 7 labor beds, 3 triage areas, 2 PACU, and 16 mother-baby rooms.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in labor and delivery settings.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform emergency interventions as necessary.
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal conditions throughout the delivery process.
• Support breastfeeding and provide education to new mothers.
• Manage post-operative care following C-sections.
• Implement evidence-based practices for labor progression and pain management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred.
• Epic charting system experience is required.
