Job Description
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide care for patients through various stages of childbirth and assist in the delivery process. The RN will work within an acute care hospital setting, primarily focusing on providing support to neonates and adults. The use of Epic for charting and documentation will be integral to the role.
Responsibilities
- Circulate for cesarean sections in the operating room.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients.
- Monitor and assess patient status during pregnancy, labor, and delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Labor and Delivery setting, including charge experience.
Certifications/Licensure
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Advanced AWHONN
- California state nursing license
- LA Fire Card
