ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Pre Op (Day Shift) in Bradenton, Florida.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The scheduled shift is from 05:30 to 18:00, working 12-hour shifts. The traveler is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Job Description

This role is situated in a Level II Trauma Center, involving a dynamic and fast-paced environment focused on pre-operative nursing care. Responsibilities will include patient assessments, preparing patients for surgery, coordinating with surgical teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and evaluations for patients.
• Prepare and educate patients for surgical procedures.
• Coordinate with surgical teams and assist in ensuring readiness for surgery.
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient responses pre-operatively.
• Administer medications and follow protocols effectively.

Required Experience

Candidates should have prior experience in pre-operative nursing, and experience in a trauma center is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license is required to practice in the state of Florida.
