RN Operating Room (Liver Transplant Experience Required)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shifts, consisting of 3x12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM.

Job Description

The RN Operating Room will work with a focus on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant cases. While the primary responsibility will be to assist in liver transplants, the nurse will also handle other surgical cases as needed when no liver or transplant cases are scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assist in liver and transplant surgeries actively and proficiently.
• Maintain proficiency with Misonix/CUSA.
• Engage in other surgical cases as required.
• Provide interdisciplinary support and mentorship in a teaching environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of direct nursing experience in liver/transplant OR.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required at the time of submittal.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• Strong experience in transplant surgery, specifically in organ re-implantation.
• Demonstrated proficiency with general OR skills and equipment.
